The Cryptococcal Latex Agglutination Antigen test is performed when a titer of capsular polysaccharied antigen of Cryptococcus in seum and CSF is required. This test is performed on specimens that are positive for capsular polysaccharide antigens of the Cryptococcus species complex by the Lateral Flow Cryptococcal Antigen Detection Test (CrAg Lateral Flow).
**Specimens requesting the latex agglutination titer are first tested by the CrAg Lateral Flow Assay ($12) and if positive are then tittered by the latex agglutination procedure ($20).
