Shay Bracha

Assistant Professor, Oncology

The Bracha lab is committed to pursuing research in translational oncology. This research lab investigates how cancer cells modify their environment to increase invasiveness and metastasis. These studies have led to the discovery of novel biomarkers that may be used to detect cancer at an early stage, improving the chances for longer remissions and survival. The identified biomarkers expand our understanding of cancer progression and are critical in the development of novel, individual and precision therapy approaches. While we love dogs, our research has an impact on all creatures in their battle against this terrible disease.
