Detection of rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus, type 2 by real time PCR. If RHDV2 is not detected by rtPCR in a domestic or feral rabbit and clinical signs are consistent for RHDV2, samples will be sent to FADDL to perform testing for RHDVa and to repeat RHDV2 testing. If RHDV2 is detected in a new wild rabbit species, specimens will be sent to FADDL for confirmatory testing. RHDV2 is an OIE reportable disease. If RHDV2 is detected in any rabbit species, USDA Veterinary Services and our State Veterinarian will be notified. If between 3 and 1000 tests are ordered, a discount of $4.00 per test will be applied when the quantity of that test is in the specified range.
