Dr. Redmond, a native of New England, pursued his veterinary career by first attending Penn State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a Minor in Equine Science. Following this, he went on to Texas A&M University where he acquired a Master of Science in Reproductive Physiology, focusing on puberty initiation in ewe lambs. Following his Masters, he expanded his horizons by attending St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies to complete his DVM. He completed his 4th-year clinical studies at Iowa State University. Upon graduating, Dr. Redmond returned to St. George's University for 6 months as a Clinical Instructor in the Large Animal Medicine & Surgery department before starting a large animal medicine & surgery internship at Texas A&M University. His interests are focused in large animal internal medicine, particularly equine, with a secondary interest in reproduction. He also has a strong enthusiasm for teaching and enjoys working with students on their clinical rotations and in lecture and laboratory settings.
