Biography

Mark Jeon was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Although some say he left paradise, Dr. Jeon departed his warm home state to brave the winter wonderland of Colorado. Dr. Jeon attended Colorado State University (Go Rams!) and received his degrees in Microbiology and Veterinary Medicine. As a student employee at the Flint Animal Care Center, Dr. Jeon’s passion for oncology patients was developed. The interpersonal aspects of partnering with clients and empowering them to advocate for their pets drew him further into the field of veterinary oncology.

After graduation, Dr. Jeon completed a small animal rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During his time there, he explored New Mexican cuisine and discovered a love for green chile. Dr. Jeon is excited to live in the Pacific Northwest, near the ocean after many land-locked years! He is an avid lover of the outdoors: you will find him camping, hiking, and exploring our National Parks system. His goal is to visit all the 61 U.S. National Parks.

Dr. Jeon is thrilled to be working with the team at Oregon State University for his medical oncology residency. His professional interests include hospice care, palliative care, and translational medicine including zoological populations.
