Small Animal Surgery

COVID-19 Update

CONSULTATION  Due to social distancing and other COVID-19 restrictions, clients are not allowed in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at this time.  For the health and safety of our clients and hospital staff, the Small Animal Surgery team is offering consultations via phone or through a glass separator in the hospital’s front lobby.

EXPECTATIONS The veterinary teaching hospital provides hands-on experience and teaching opportunities to both fourth year veterinary students and veterinarians receiving advanced training in a variety of specialties. You will be working with a team of specialists who provide state-of-the-art treatment for complex medical issues.  Because of this, your appointment at the OSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital will likely take longer than a typical veterinary office visit. Please plan on this being an all-afternoon appointment. You won’t necessarily need to be at the hospital the entire time, but you should plan that your pet will be.

DROP OFF/PICK UP When you arrive for the appointment please pull up to an open sandwich board, call the number listed and let reception staff know the space number on the sign and a phone number where you can be reached during the consultation.  A Technician will collect the patient from the vehicle.
