The Department of Biomedical Sciences houses research in the disciplines of anatomy, physiology, clinical pathology, immunology, infectious diseases (bacteriology, mycology, virology, parasitology), neuroscience, regenerative medicine, data science and public health. We conduct vital research using an interdisciplinary approach focusing on the study of animal diseases while highlighting interconnections to animal, human and environmental health. Our research brings new discoveries and insights to the development of preventative methods, diagnostic techniques, and medical interventions – and we are committed to make every effort in advancing veterinary and human medicine.
