Dr. Your Name Here
Your journey to doctor starts here. The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program emphasizes the importance of core training in comparative biology and medicine, including all primary clinical disciplines and domestic animal species.
You'll have the opportunity to take elective training across a wide variety of more specialized subjects, such as zoo, exotics, and wildlife medicine, marine sciences, clinical nutrition and various clinical specialties (cardiology, oncology, theriogenology, anesthesiology, internal medicine and surgery).
In Person and Hands-on
Our four-year DVM program is delivered in-person at our beautiful campus in Corvallis, Oregon. It is not possible to complete the the program online.
Years one through three are spent primarily in coursework. Year four is your clinical year with rotations spent in the service areas of our Lois Bates Acheson Veterinary Teaching Hospital, at the Oregon Humane Society (surgical and general practice) and with elective partners of your choosing. These include unique experiences for students at the Hatfield Marine Science Center, the Wildlife Safari and the Oregon Zoo.
