Hey, everyone! My name is Makayla, and I am in the Class of 2028. I have a focus in small animal medicine. In my time at CCVM, I have managed to make many friends along the way and immerse myself into all that OSU has to offer including being a CCVM student ambassador, SAVMA historian, LVMA member and Shelter Medicine club member to name a few. Having gone to OSU in undergrad and being a first generation in-state student, it is exciting to experience new opportunities from OSU through its DVM program. My long term goals are to work at a multi-doctor mixed animal veterinary hospital that handles day-to-day and emergency healthcare. Additionally, I hope to work at a low income clinic providing aid at a reduced cost. During my spare time, I enjoy playing video games, making memories with friends or immersing myself in a good show or novel.
