Hi! My name is Simran Nagi, and I’m a third-year veterinary student at CCVM (Class of 2027) and a concurrent MS student. I was born in Punjab, India, and grew up in Santa Rosa, California before moving to Oregon, where I completed my undergrad in Biology at Oregon State University. Prior to vet school, I worked in the veterinary field for many years before and after graduating from tech school.
At CCVM, I love to be involved so you can find me in many leadership roles such as the DEI Co-Chair for the Class of 2027, Zoetis Student Representative, IDEA Committee Co-President, Global Talent Partners Representative, and on the board of various student clubs. My current interests lie in small animal surgery and wildlife/exotics, and I’m excited to continue exploring those areas through internships and global opportunities.
Outside of school, I love spending time outdoors with my family and our pets, whether it’s hiking, gardening, or doing crafts in my backyard. I enjoy creative projects like painting, poetry, henna art, sewing, and lots more. I have a passion for languages and learning about different cultures so I love connecting with people from all over. Feel free to reach out about anything, whether it’s about school, shared interests, or just to connect!
