I had my sweet Almond girl for 11 years. Life began with us together here in Portland, OR my senior year of college. She was a tiny little kitten and zoomed around like a little rocket ship. We moved that fall to Bismarck, North Dakota for my first job and she saw what a brutal winter was like! All in all, we lived in 5 states together, made multiple road trips together, and made it back full circle to Portland, OR in 2019. She was my constant, and my companion by my side. She was there with me through most of my adult hood - my "growing up" years, so to speak. She was so sassy and sweet. She LOVED having her armpits scratched. She loved her treats and food almost more than snuggles from mom. One year she broke into a closet and ate through the bag of treats and left none behind! I'd like to think she truly had nine lives with all the shenanigans and things she ate she wasn't supposed to. Somehow plastic was one of her favorites to chew. I have so many fond and funny memories of her. She truly was one of the most photogenic cats I have known. But pets don't live nearly as long as we want them to. She crossed the rainbow bridge on September 27 at home in my lap, on her favorite quilt that my mom made for her. I am so grateful she is no longer suffering, but the house, and my life, just doesn't feel the same without her in it. She was so well loved by me and so many others who knew her.
