Annie

When the last kitty passed, mice started appearing in the house. I sent a prayer for a kitty who would get along with the family dog and scare the mice away. Three days later, Annie came through an adoption from our veterinary doctor. We were advised that she was a little "heavy." When she arrived, she opened the kitchen drawers, cabinet doors, and reached under one of the doors - all places the mice had been hiding - she did know what she was there for! The next 12 years, she was the sweetest natured, calm, loving cat in memory. She slept right next to her humans and had the loudest purr one could imagine. Annie was totally disinterested in the frivolity of playing, instead she would meditate for hours on the bed, the top of the couch, the top of the recliner. Occasionally she would get a wild hair after using the litter, fly out of the box and tear through the house - her paws loudly pounding the floor since she never lost her well-endowed body. No health problems until the lymphoma - her good-bye. An intuitive shared that Annie was here to teach unconditional love. What else could one ask for.
