Astrid Pearl came to our family when she was 12 weeks old. She immediately became the baby of the house and we treated her as such. She was very gentle and passive as that was her nature. She was my best friend through Covid, the death of my father, aunt, and grandmother. She was the dog I clung to after my daughter's suicide attempt. She was my buddy during the terrible ice storm in 2021 and during the fires in 2020. She died in my arms at home after becoming suddenly ill for reasons unknown. She was only 7 yrs old. Her favorite food was Nilla Wafers.
