Bella (La Vita Bella Buttons), was born May 13, 2007 and left us far too soon October 23, 2018. We were lucky enough to have her and her twin sister in our lives from when they were 6 weeks old. She was such a bright, cheerful, and sensitive soul! She was the Westie I'd been longing for and chose and I owe her so much. She, on her own intuition and understanding beyond any comprehension, became her twin sisters and my medical dog. When her twin was diagnosed with diabetes and then later being treated for lymphoma cancer, on at least 6 occasions Bella woke me in the night and warned me that her twin was in immediate medical emergeny need and saved her life each time. She helped me navigate when I was blinded by migraines and some how knew how to warn me before I'd have a seizure that it was coming so that I could be safe. Watching over me when I was so very ill, and into years of my recovery. She was not done yet. Eleven years is much too brief a time with such a precious creature! When she would meet a young or unbalanced dog, she always knew how to calmly teach them how to interact properly and feel secure. I'm so thankful and lucky that I got to be a part of her life! Such a good, sweet, precious, beautiful soul. The world seems a little darker without her, but is so better because she was here! We miss you, and we love you precious Bella!
