Bob was part of our family for 17 years and we will miss him dearly. We adopted him from a no-kill shelter when he was a few months old and he endured, despite having asthma and a thyroid problem, the latter being cured by the "nuclear option," which gave us a few more years with Bob.
Bob enjoyed sitting on our laps while we watched TV, going back and forth between my wife and I. When we were finished watching TV for the night we'd put a blanket on the sofa, which, instinctively, he would lay on for the rest of the night. One other Bobism - after opening the door to the backyard he would make one lap around the dining room table before going out; just wanted to make sure it was safe to go out I guess.
You can't ask much more of a pet than what Bob provided. Rest in peace my friend.
