Black and white dog Bode

We adopted our boy Bode from a Border Collie rescue organization in Meridian Idaho. He was about 2 yrs old in July of 2011. We celebrated his Birthday on July 4th, although he hated all the noise of the holiday and fireworks. He was always very noise sensitive.
Bode loved his long walks, playing ball and frisbee on the 30 acres behind our house . A perfect setup for a very active Border collie. He loved the ‘dog parties’ behind our house with multiple pups running and chasing balls in all different directions.
He was an escape artist, a 6 foot fence was no obstacle. We had to dog proof our yard so he couldn’t get over, under or thru the fence.
Bode and Dave could regularly be seen walking the neighborhood and logging up to 20 miles a day. Even when he started to slow down at about 13 yrs old, he always wanted to go . As he aged his hips were giving out probably due to all his high flying antics with a frisbee. He also had a heart murmur and developed congestive heart failure in his last year . He crossed the rainbow bridge at 15 1/2 yrs old, after a life well lived and loved.
