Brandie was the epitome of the Golden Retriever. Known for their love of people, Brandie lived that out her entire life. She was such a sweet, caring dog that loved kids and all people. She was always eager to meet new people and loved their attention. Born in North Dakota and an AKC registered Golden Retriever, by a family that lived on a farm that also bred and raised Golden Retrievers, she was brought to Idaho at 8 weeks old by a member of that family. Unfortunately, the owner, who were close friends of ours and whom we had purchased another Golden from in years past, had a stroke and was no longer able to take care of Brandie so we were asked if we would take her. She was 2 years old then. Brandie was 11 years old when she passed and she was so special. She was a Retriever that hilariously was “afraid of water” regardless of our many attempts at the ocean and elsewhere to get her to fetch into the water! But she loved camping and would greet visitors and passerby’s with joy and excitement. Our memories of her will last a lifetime for us as well. She was a sweetheart.
