Over a year ago, a very beautiful and friendly calico cat apeared in our yard one summer morning. She was skinny, but seemed fine otherwise....well cared for, as if she had a home somewhere else. But she kept coming back every few days and we would feed her whenever she'd stop by. She approached without fear and would always rub against your leg and readily jump into your lap to be petted. Many times she'd be waitiing at the back door with her tiny soft 'mews'. We already had an indoor cat so we didn't feel right about letting her inside....but then a few weeks ago, I noticed that she began to eat less and less. One day I saw a little blood coming from her mouth. We brought her in to keep her warm, but she gradually stopped eating and drinking. That's when a friend recommended Dr. Scott. She was able to see Callie right away and discovered that she had advanced cancer..,..that the kindest thing we could do would be to let her go. It wasn't easy. She had become part of our family, even in such a short time. I am so grateful to Dr. Scott and her staff for their kind and compasssionate care of our Callie. We will miss seeing her sweet face.
