Charlie was our first baby, and she was treated like a princess. From day one, she slept in our bed, forcing us to upgrade to a king size just to accommodate her 75lbs. All vacations centered around finding a place Charlie could come, too. Houses were chosen based on the yard for the pup, and even our new fence had to be extra tall so Charlie couldn’t scale it.
She was sweet, fiercely loyal and loving, gentle with our son and all the children who came and went from this house, a California dog through and through, never saying no to lounging on the patio in the sun, and never met a tennis ball she didn’t like.
We were so blessed to have her for just under 10 years, and we’ll never forget her velvety ears, her ridiculously cute white spots, and her constant need to just be where the people are.
