Cookie and his brother Baby came into our lives in January 2015, from the Humane Society. At first meeting, he was afraid of me. We learned to love each other quickly. Cookie would "melt" into slumber whenever I sat him next to me (as in the pic) or hold him in my arms. We travelled to Sacramento twice. We went hot air ballooning a few times. Cookie was a great bed partner/warmer. Cookie was a "protector" of anything smaller and weaker, as well as a defender. He would do a "perimeter check" of the backyard fenced area, when on a party (potty) session. Cookie had canine version of COPD, from his previous owner. We took an inhaler and three oral medications to help his breathing. Cookie crossed the rainbow bridge on Saturday nite, December 1, 2018, while sleeping in my arms, in bed. We are heartbroken, but realize Cookie is able to breathe easier and run free.
