We lost our beloved St. Bernard Dude on May 16th 2025. Dude came to us by way of my daughter’s friend while he was hiking in the Gifford Pinchot forest. It appeared to him that Dude had been dumped there and left to fend for himself. We got him three days later and could see that he was not in very good condition.
Dude weighed 73.4 pounds when we got him and was infested with ticks, fleas and hookworms. We began the long road to recovery immediately for him. Dude was very aggressive and untrusting of humans, but with much patience and love we were able to get him to be lovable as would be expected of a St. Bernard.
Dude loved his walks and rides in the truck everyday rain or shine. He was a constant companion and loved being with us all the time. We only had him for a few short years and we miss him terribly. Our beloved boy had a great life with us. I hope that this picture will bring a smile to your face you as it does for ours.
