Rest in Peace Fancy, 1988 to 2018

In 1995 Fancy was given to Wayne as a gift from his friend Barb. Fancy was about seven years old. The first ride Wayne and Fancy had went so well that one ride lead to the other. Wayne knew he had a horse he would keep for a lifetime, so he decided to enroll himself and Fancy in the Wagon Wheelers that same year where they rode in the Wagon Wheeler's Drill team at the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days, as well as the parade up until 2016. They also rode in Team Penning and Sorting events. On many occasions Wayne and Fancy rode with his best friend Jack Richartz on cattle drives along with many of his other friends. Wayne and Fancy also went on pleasure rides with his family members in the Blue Mountains.

Fancy was beloved by all, especially children. Fancy's disposition was impeccable, she was always ready to go with a grateful attitude no matter the task and she always brought Wayne back home safely to his wife Betty. Fancy loved her annual bath when she was to ride in the parade, man did her coat shine with copper overtones and felt just like silk, her mane was a maze of many colors of copper, browns, creams and black, and was long and silky. Fancy will be forever treasured and missed by her Norton family. Thank you Fancy for keeping our dad safe.

Special thanks to Dr. Andrea E. Adams: Thank you Dr. Adams for caring for Fancy all these years. We appreciate you! Thank you for donating to a wonderful cause to the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine in memory of Fancy. You are truly the best.
