Collage of photos of a black cat snuggling and laying down

In September of 2003, I decided it was time to get a cat. I went into my local Petco (Maple Grove, MN) because they were having a pet adoption day. When I picked Felix up to hold him, he licked my lip and I decided that he had the right heart for me. Just 6 months old, at that time. I brought the little guy back to the place that I was renting at the time, and showed him his new home. My memories of him are nothing but sweet and filled with love. Big Boy was not food-motivated like many pets. Instead, all he ever wanted was to be held/petted/loved back. It was clear that I had been lucky with finding one of the most affectionate cats in history. Anyone that came in contact with him loved him, even those who were allergic to cats! He just had a way of getting into your heart, and made every person feel special when he came around to give attention to you. In 2009, we moved from MN to Scottsdale, AZ. That road trip was unforgettable, and there were some particular fun times associated with Felix. He did great. Then in 2010, we moved to Portland, OR. Yet another fun trek with my boy (and his fellow kitty, Ginger, whom I had gotten about 6 months after him). So, a very well traveled kitty, and many friends along the way. Here in Oregon City, OR is where we had to say goodbye, and farewell. He lived 20 years, and I feel that he completely enjoyed most of his time here with us. His personality was like no other cat that I have encountered, and I was blessed to have him in my life for so long. Everyone loved him, and he will be missed by all. RIP, my sweet baby boy.
