We found each other on May 19, 2014. He ran in front of my car and I followed him until he let me pick him up. Matted, skinny, and scared of everything, I had the pleasure of earning his trust and growing a bond with him that was like no other. He loved going to the beach and chasing seagulls, hiking adventures to waterfalls, playing "treat game," nibbling on his plushies, guarding his cookies from Blossom, and spending time with his Mary and his Mama. His perfect unconditional love made me a better human, and gave me the confidence to do greater things. At the end of July, 2022, we received the devastating news that he had Transitional Cell Carcinoma. He was only given 3 -4 months, but God blessed us with 12 more than that. On January 5, 2024, my heart was forever shattered. Saying goodbye to him was the most devastating thing I have ever been through. I'll never stop loving you Nummy, and like I told you in your final moments, wait for me on the other side. Until we meet again, my best friend and forever soul dog.
