In 2013, a few months after we lost Princess Jazomine, we were watching Pet Pals on KTVZ and saw a few kittens available at the Humane Society. There was a tuxedo one that I loved and two Siamese mixes that my husband loved. Well, of course we showed up the next morning, and only one of the kittens chose us: one of the Siamese mixes. The Humane Society had named her Bria, but we quickly changed it to Georgie (as in "I will name him George, and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him," from Looney Tunes). My husband passed away in 2018 from a long trial with cancer, Georgie always cuddling with him to the end. And then Georgie passed this year of her own cancer.
