Lily came to us as a Siamese rescue cat. She was not anymore comfortable in her previous home with the noise of three young children. In our house she preferred staying in the bedroom on the big bed listening to classical music station. In the night time we had an evening ritual where she came to greet both of us before settling down in her own corner next to window which was a crack open. In the morning I always found her sleeping on my chest.
She had also very lively and playful moments and she often performed nice, sudden, perfectly coordinated jumps to the bed seemingly from nowhere to our joy and seemingly to her own satisfaction. She had the most beautiful spark in her eyes full of joy, acceptance and love towards her human beings. She stayed with us many years until her kidneys gave up. She left a Lily shaped gap in our hearts.
