We had Lincoln, our little 'Lincoln Log' for an amazing 10 years! Even though we feel our time with him was cut short, there would never have been enough time in the world with him. He was literally the best little dog and we miss him so much! He loved people, kids, other dogs, and adventuring. He was always smiling and such a happy go lucky little guy! He loved being outside and loved to come along with us on any and all adventures. People were obsessed with him everywhere we went and he was always the life of the party! His favorite things were laying in the sunshine in the backyard, going on walks (especially to the park!), chasing squirrels and cats, barking at dogs on the other side of the fence, eating all the snacks and treats he could get his paws on, playing with his tiny toys, napping in front of the fire, and cuddling with us. He got his heart failure diagnosis about a year before he passed away, and it was very hard on him and all of us. He wasn't really able to do a lot of the things that he loved to do, and was limited in the activities he could do. He also had a ton of vet appointments in his last year because of it, which were also tough. Despite all of that, he kept a positive attitude and still made the most of every day! I know he is in a better place now- going on ALL the walks, eating ALL the chicken treats, and chasing ALL the squirrels and cats he can! We miss him so much and we can't wait to see him again someday. We are so thankful for the time we had with him, and I am so grateful that he was the best fur-baby to our son. We love and miss you sweet Link! Your sweet smile and spirit will absolutely live on forever.
