Lucy was born October 27, 2008 in Tacoma WA, and lived her best life until she crossed the rainbow bridge on June 19, 2023. Lucy's journey began when she was adopted by her devoted human, Kelley, in February 2009. As a young kitten, Lucy faced certain behavioral challenges, struggling with litterbox training and displaying fearful tendencies, making trust a precious commodity. However, Kelley's unwavering commitment, paired with patience, love, and understanding, transformed Lucy into the gentle and affectionate soul she became known for.
Despite her transformation, Lucy never relinquished her spirited "Tortitude," which she proudly carried until the end. Over time, she even conquered the art of walking on a leash, joyfully accompanying her human on ventures to the park. Lucy's playful nature shone through as she relished in fetching small toys, like her cherished "Birdie," while announcing her victorious hunts to her humans. She delighted in occasional nibbles of "Easy Cheese" and savored refreshing sips from the bathroom sink.
Lucy's passing leaves a void in our hearts, for she was truly one of a kind and touched so many lives. She now joins her big brother Frodo (2006-2022). Lucy leaves behind her devoted humans, Kelley and Kimmy, her loyal dog-sister Greta, and her younger feline companion Herbie.
Lucy enriched our lives beyond measure, and her spirit will continue to live on.
