Mister came into our lives as a rescue at the age of 5. Two and a half years later, our big guy was diagnosed with Lymphoma. We were told with 90% confidence, this was his prognosis and that we could expect Mister to live for 1-2 months. Unfortunately, he didn't make it beyond two weeks. We have agonized over what else we could've done, what signs did we miss, should we have made the call to give him final peace sooner? Dogs should be immune to cancer, they are too good. But alas, without immunity, we ask, "What more can we give to research? How can we make a difference in veterinary medicine to give dogs who are diagnosed with cancer a hopeful future?" Our big guy took a huge part of our family with him and left a gaping silence in his place. No more squeaky, blue ball. No more keeping the cats off the counter. No more great dane leans, or confusion about being a lap dog. Car rides will never feel the same. We miss ya' Mister Mister.
