Morgan was a rescue from The Great Pyrenees Rescue Society. She was rescued by them from a Houston, Texas kill shelter. We were paired with her by them and they drove her with several other dogs and we met them at a park in Tualatin. She was one of many dogs tied to trees so we weren’t sure who she was. As it turned out we had parked right in front of her. The society representative handed us her leash and she hopped without hesitation into our Subaru. That first night she first stayed on the pillow we had bought her but then laid down in our room as quiet as a mouse. The first few days she would slightly wag her tail when one of us came home but after a week she was excited to see us. She was home. Morgan loved the snow but hated the rain. She loved rides in the car, hiking, wading in the water but hated baths. She liked her cats, loved her Dad, Bryan and Uncle Bill. Our “Doodles” loved everyone she met and most animals except for racoonies and those darn deer. She once chased a sow and cubs forcing me to go yelling like a maniac at them while I grabbed her and ran. My heart is broken that she is gone so soon but I am so happy she shared her life with me. I hope her time with us was the best years of her life.
