Nala came into our lives when she was about 8 years old, as I was just getting set to retire. One needs a reason to get up in the morning – she was mine. We’d walk 1 1/2 - 2 miles every day. Given her high prey drive, I felt the need to ‘out-hunt’ her on our walks; I often failed. As she aged, our walks got shorter, but she so looked forward to going. Her body finally gave out on New Year’s Day at age 14. She was such a love and has touched our hearts immeasurably. She will be missed.
