My little Pakuna was a min pin. We called her the min pinerizer! She was the best guard dog ever, and loyal to the end. She grew up with her sister, Rosa who was a Bosten Beagle mix. Rosa was Pakuna's dog. When Rosa would go missing on hunting expeditions, Pakuna and I would go look for her and Pakuna always looked a little worried - probably worried Rosa would get the rabbit before her. When Rosa died, Pakuna and I grieved together and Pakuna helped me through that. In the end, she still missed Rosa and would often go to the bed where the two slept next to my old bed. Pakuna was a faithful sidekick and walked many miles, went on several long back packing trips and many many camping trips. Even in her last months, when she was blind and deaf, she hung out under the truck and chased the neighborhood strays away in Belize. She was a mighty, loving, and best companion. I loved that little dog and tearful as I write this. In her honor, please consider using non animal testing and practice options in your labs, and speak out on behalf of all lab animals currently confined for hellish experiments. Thank you, Joan
