Panda was a corgi mix that was born in my lap, picked me as his person the day he opened his eyes, and was my loyal sidekick for 11 years and 4 months before he took his last breath in my lap. He was a medical mess being diagnosed with IMHA at a four years old, undergoing several blood transfusions, so many tests, and multiple hospitalizations. He was hospitalized again at six years old with acute pancreatitis. Each time we admitted him in his early years the fear he would never come home was very real. Between his steady will, the amazing veterinary teams he had, and a dedicated family, Panda found stability in an ongoing medical plan and lived out his remaining seven years happy, full of energy and always seizing every day. While due to his medical issues he never got to enjoy dog parks and extensive travels as we always were aware of his compromised immune system, but we often spoke of how intuitive he was and how good of a therapy dog he would have been. He always could sense in a room who needed a snuggle. He was the best companion, brother, uncle, cousin, a family or pack could ever had. We give a ton of thanks to the medical teams that gave him all the possibilities. We miss him so much but we are glad for every day we had him. Thank You from our family to yours for the opportunity to share his life with you.
