We rescued our Penny girl in November of 2015. She was severely overweight and underloved. My kids “forced” her on me and in my moment of weakness, I agreed. I will never regret that decision. My oldest daughter was 18, my son 15 and my youngest daughter was 10 when I decided I would finally allow a family pet. Penny took ahold of all of our hearts and finally had owners who showed her the same unconditional love she showed them. She was well behaved and so smiley. In September of 2017, Penny was diagnosed with cancer. The vet told us it was slow growing but we made the decision not to do chemo or any therapy. Humans don’t like cancer treatment, we felt it would be unfair to Penny to put her through something like that just so her humans could have her a little longer. Aug 3rd, 2018, we had to lay out beautiful girl to rest. Cancer got the best of her but we got the best years of her. She can now play ball again and run for miles without pain. You will never be forgotten sweet girl.
