Thank you OSU Carlson College for an opportunity to share a brief story about Ralphie. Ralphie was a rescue kitty, I rescued him and he rescued me. Ralphie was my immediate love muffin. He met me at the door everyday and followed me from room to room. He loved to play with a home made toy of red thread and a small bead; dragged upon the carpet. He would get so excited he would leap into the air. And he was a addict to the smell of bleach and of course cat nip. Ralphie was the living soul that helped me make it through the loss of my late husband, especially those moments where I thought I couldn't go on anymore. Some how he knew, and would make sure to give me extra attention and somehow I could keep going. I hope he is running free in a big open field with plenty of fresh fish.
Thank you to all the Staff and Students that will have a future in Veterinary Medicine; pets need you and the people that love pets need you. Thank you for all you will do for the lives of many.
