I met "My Little Cat" Riley in the van of an Abyssinian breeder at LAX airport 15 1/2 years ago. (He and his two siblings had just arrived from Minnesota.) As soon as I lowered myself into the backseat of the van.. he jumped into my lap and began nuzzling my face with his face. His whiskers were nearly chewed off and the breeder immediately informed me that he was the runt of the liter and that she did not recommend I get him. She said he was not acting normal... that he should be cowering behind the gas pedal with the very beautiful other two cats. I told her that Riley was special and that I wanted him. That he had chose me. There was never a more loving creature on earth. Riley worshipped the ground I walked on... and the feeling was mutual. Riley was a mighty little cat and overcame several serious illnesses to stay by my side. I miss him so much and will never forget his tiny hello.
