Sadie arrived in our lives unexpectedly 15 years ago. She was a rescued dog in need of a "foster" home. We already had a dog at home, but we agreed to help for two weeks until a permanent home was found. Needless to say, she stole my heart the moment I held her. She had come from an abusive home with neglect and we showered her with love, affection, dog sisters, adventures, and bedtime snuggles for the next 15 years. She loved to be near us and her dog sisters, Kiah and Locket, and especially loved the beach. Hair flowing in the wind, wet sand under her feet, and the ocean gently lapping at her toes. We needed her as much as she needed us, and we know we were blessed to have her for more years than we should have. Lucky us to have been loved so unconditionally by the best girl ever.
