Sadie

I adopted Sadie, a mini dachshund from the Humane Society when she was 6 years old. Since she was very small, she loved to sit on top of the couch and look out the window. She would always bark at the door to greet me when I came home. She loved her daily walks. Her favorite safe place to be was under the covers in my bed. She loved to run down the hall ahead of me and jump on my bed. Once under the covers, she would lick my feet or lay next to me and fall asleep. The last two years before she passed away she lost her eyesight and hearing and developed cancerous mammary and nasal gland tumors and had seizures. Despite her health issues later in life she never forgot how to run down the hall to her safe place under the covers in my bed. Sadie was a loyal friend and companion who was always there for me when I needed her. I miss her presence in the house and in my bed. Sadie, you are forever loved and will never be forgotten.
