We found Sashi 15 years ago at The Siberian Husky Sanctuary in Dayton, WA owned by a compassionate Husky lover named Susan. People from Seattle were coming to get her after they got captivated by her beauty and profile from Susan's website. My ex husband and I were looking for a sister for our beloved rescued lab mix Coco since we were all devastated by the loss of our lovely Sami Jo, another lab chow rescued girl. None of the 60 plus available huskies in the Sanctuary were connecting with us or Coco. Sasha was there in the kennel looking at us, she was the most beautiful of all, we knew that people were on their way to get her but we had to see her outside of her kennel, she was really gorgeous. As soon as she got out of the kennel, she came running to kiss Coco, and the rest is history, Susan had no other option but grant her desire of being part of our family. Sasha always adored Coco, she was actually totally hers, she was always the best sister for Coco until the day she left us. We were devastated again. We found another great sister and companion, a rescued named Mercy, but she left us just too soon, two years later. Our hearts were broken again! Sasha and I survived them all and my divorce as well. We used to go everywhere together and walk a lot of miles. People always stop their car to watch her, children came running to hug her and make stories about her. She was always kind to them and well mannered. She was a little princess, mischievous as hell ,but in a very funny way. We had a good life together with a lot of stories and great pictures and memories. I loved her with all my heart. I was always by her side until the day she crossed the rainbow bridge. The neighbors and the community miss her. She actually loved my mother in law very much and they left us within a day apart. I will miss them both but especially my lovely and gorgeous Sashi. Love you girl, I will see you soon. In the meantime have fun and run freely with your sisters and grandma!!!
