Snickers was such a very special dog who connected with everyone she met with eyes that could look into one's soul. She worked in the schools reading with young elementary kids, in the library as well as visiting and connecting with students at the U of O. . She knew these kids needed her and was so patient with them, sitting in their laps letting them smother her with love, she brought a calm to all that came in contact with her. There are no words to adequately describe Snickers as her heart was so big. She joined me on any hike I took her on with her wonderful energy that added so much to every adventure. We backpacked and hiked everywhere together, and she shared her wonderful soul with all she met on the trail, my friends, their dogs and all the dogs she met along the way. As I have said, there are no words to adequately express what this dog has added to my life, that of our family and all she came in contact with. She has crossed that rainbow bridge with the grace and peace with which she lived her life.
