Small spotted dog with light grey and brown fur wearing shiny bows

We adopted Sunny 5 years ago February. No exact age was shared with us. Her owner was in hospice, her sister had Sunny but obviously wasn’t a dog person. Sunny was relegated to a blanket behind a chair, had lemon like applied to her fur, red paws from licking. That went away with attention with us. Where we went, she went. Our lives revolved around her, her needs, her walks. She had at least 3 everyday. She was my emotional support after suffering a tbi in a car accident. I miss her terribly. Kidney disease took her so quickly. It was awful. We just couldn’t do enough to save her. Dr. Alex came to our house to relieve her suffering. We are forever changed. In 52 years we’ve had only 4 dogs, only one was not a rescue. My husband will not get another dog knowing what lies ahead. He could not endure another loss he says. Instead, everyday we miss sharing our lives with another dog. So sad and lonesome.
