Suzie

Suzie came to us in 2012 from a southern CA kill shelter. She was terrified of most noises, children, sudden movements, and had weird eating habits but instantly attached herself to us. Over the 13 years that we had her, she grew into a happy, playful and independent dog that LOVED camping, running on the beach, and digging holes to snuggle in anywhere she could. When our daughter joined us in 2018, Suzie became her fierce protector and best friend and soon was a fan of kiddos, learning they usually had grubby hands and faces to clean. Suzie was a true soul dog who snuggled between us in bed every night, delighted in chasing and wrestling her dog friends, and spent uncountable hours and miles on walks and hikes across the PNW. Even at 19 she was still walking 2+ miles most days and we are so lucky she told us when it was time to go. She is missed dearly and will never be forgotten.
