Tah

Tah was born 6/24/2013 to a Doberman breeder in California. Thinking her female was impregnated by a stray, the litter was sent to a local shelter at 4 months old. Tah spent 3 1/2 years at that shelter. In December of 2016 he was shipped to Family Dogs New Life Shelter in Milwaukee, Oregon. On 12/24/2016 Susan and I adopted Tah. He turned out to be the most well behaved dog ever. Much better manners than most people! So easy to train, and loved us as much as we loved him. He excelled at Canine Good Citizen Class, and later at Agility Class. What an amazing experience. He was great with all humans and animals. Except bunnies. He was good at keeping them out of our garden. He never bothered other animals. Be it squirrels, local birds; including ducks, chickens, and quail. Never chased cows, horses, deer, or elk. Once touched noses with an interested cow elk at Cannon Beach, Oregon. In August of 2026 Tah became ill. He was diagnosed, at Woodburn Pet Hospital, as having Spleen Cancer (Hemangiosarcoma). To our great dismay we had to have Tah euthanized on 8/13/2026. We called Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice to come to our home to send him Over the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Greg Robbins came to our home to send Tah on his final path. We are forever grateful for the peaceful send off Dr. Greg allowed us to have with our beloved Tah. Tah was buried in the turnaround in front of our house so that he could continue to keep watch over our activities. We will forever miss him. 😢 💔
