Tilly Jane came to me from Willamette Humane Society. She was already 11 years old and had been rejected from her original home because she tortured the dog, which was difficult to fathom since she was the dearest, kindest, nicest kitty I had ever lived with. Never hissed or tried to bite and was always pleasant and friendly and loveable. Unfortunately, within a year and a half she developed lymphoma and we discovered it when she was already quite ill. Parting with her was hard and I missed her very much. Here it is 6 months later and I've adopted a new "older kitty", Daisy Mae who is 16 1/2 and in good health for her age. I've made it my mission to adopt older kitties who often have a harder time finding a forever home for their golden years. Older kitties never climb the drapes or have ever tried to get up onto the kitchen counter. They always have some interesting behaviors and manners that they've been taught in the early years and they are great companions! We love our Vet, Dr. Beth Nguyen at Woodburn Pet Hospital!
