Laney, born 7-11-04, came to us at 18 weeks, and a few days later, began obedience class. A prey- driven, playful and incredibly smart, versatile and mischievous poodle, with an unbeatable work ethic, she took us on a journey that included training and trialing in obedience, rally, field, agility, nosework, barn hunt, and herding...and a deeply bonded relationship. In 2011, physical issues began to surface that ended more structurally demanding sports although she could continue in some measure with most. In 2015, OSU identified lumbosacral disease and helped us to keep her active, happy and comfortable for 3 more years during which she was able to continue nose work and give a try at therapy dog services. Laney's calm, unflappable disposition had always made her reliable with children, no matter how they approached her. Sadly her body and spirit gave out in June, 2018, and we miss and talk about her every day. Laney was a dog of a lifetime!
