Velma

Velma was our beloved first child. We got her as an 8 week old Great Dane, and she became a huge part of our family, not just in her physical size! Velma was a huge cuddle bug, very social with people of all ages. Once Velma turned 4, she became a big sister to a human and really matured. She took on the role of protector, and settled into her adult age by cuddling all of us on the couch, taking us on long walks, hikes, and even travels to California, Washington & Idaho. We lost Velma unexpectedly to bone cancer and our world will never be the same. She was the sweetest, most gentle giant who made everyone fall in love with her. We love you forever Velma (nicknamed Tootie - for reasons you can probably guess).
