Zoe was a remarkable Rhodesian Ridgeback (our 2nd out of 3 so far) and lived her entire 15+ years at our home and nursery in Canby. With 16 fenced acres to roam and hunt or sunbathe- she was a constant source of companionship, particularly after my losing my husband who died of cancer five years ago. We could take her anywhere- to outdoor dining spots, crowded events and family dinners, she was the kind watchdog and caregiver of all 4 of my grandchildren from almost birth on, as her temperament was beyond gentle and kind. Always a hunter, as Ridgebacks are, she found endless fun hunting gophers on the property, but also loved to be close to humans, and always snuck under my covers at night, as Ridgies do. She will always be remembered, including by my 4 year old Ridgeback Chloe that she helped raise and tolerate! I am so thankful for Compassionate Pet Care for their kind service of a home euthanasia so we could witness her gently crossing the Rainbow Bridge.
