Shipping Requirements
Label all samples. Ship tissues and fluids on cold packs. Tissue, fluids, or feces: sterile, sealed, leak-proof plastic bag or container. Swabs: transport media.

One or more of the following: fresh tissue, swabs, feces, exudates, aspirates, fluids.
Collection Protocol
Sample should be aseptically collected. Do not add formalin, saline, or broth to fresh tissue.
Identification of bacterial pathogens requiring an aerobic environment by culture. Specimens received from 4-5pm Monday- Friday and before noon on Saturdays can be set up same day with STAT Fee.
