Label all samples. Ship overnight on cold packs. Sterile, sealed, leak-proof plastic bag or container.
Specimen Requirements
Fresh tissues, fluids, or swabs. Chilled.
Collection Protocol
Sample should be aseptically collected. Do not add formalin, saline, or broth to fresh tissue.
Culture for pathogenic aerobic bacteria, and acid-fast staining in aquatic species. Indicate if individual samples are to be pooled for culture, otherwise samples will be cultured and charged individually. Panel Includes: Aerobic Culture, Bacterial Acid Fast Stain
