Label all samples. Ship overnight with cold packs in an insulated container. Ship Monday-Thursday only. Sealed leak proof container. Do not submit samples in gloves.

Collection Protocol
Specimen should be stored refrigerated and submitted to OVDL to be tested within 72 hours of collection. Otherwise the sample should be frozen. Fresh samples provide the most accurate results.
Detection of Clostridium perfringens enterotoxins by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Results available same day for samples received in the lab by 11:30 am. Results can be available same day with the addition of a STAT Fee for samples received in the lab after 11:30 and by 1:00 pm. Otherwise the specimens will be held until the next scheduled testing day.
